The East Pennsboro High School tennis team is doing well this season so far. They won their match on Monday 5-0 to Middletown. They defeated Harrisburg Academy 5-0 on Tuesday. On Wednesday, they beat Camp Hill 3-2. The team is starting to pick up speed towards their game on Thursday.

Today, Thursday April 13, they have a match against James Buchanan High School. Jake Henry talked to me a little bit about their season so far. He said they hope to “get more wins” in the future, and he told me that 10th grader Nemanja Jovic is undefeated so far this season. Jake feels like the team is really “gelling” together, and they are outplaying their competition wonderfully. Grant Zemaneck is hopeful for their upcoming game, and said that he’s excited to get a match in.

The team has been practicing hard this week, in preparation for Thursday’s game. No player has been left out of the drills. Early in the season the team played against James Buchanan and they defeated them 3-2. Jake, however, knows not to take any team lightly. “We will still be playing our hardest out there no matter once”. That’s what we like to hear from players. Go East Penn and good luck to the team this afternoon.
